Bring old family photos back

Is a print faded or yellowed? Add it to your booklet, tap it, and choose Enhance photo. A faded print gets its color and contrast back, and any photo gets balanced color, less grain and a little sharpening. It runs in your browser, with no AI and no outside service, and your original is always kept. It does not repair tears or scratches.

Since 2015 we've designed memorial booklets for families one at a time: gathering photos, laying out every page, and sending back a file ready to print.

Good to know before you start

How much does it cost?

Each booklet is $39, paid once on Etsy. There is no subscription. You can edit and download your PDF for 30 days after you start, and print as many copies as you need.

What's the difference between a funeral program, an obituary program and a memorial booklet?

They are different names for the same printed keepsake. A funeral program lists the order of service, an obituary program leads with the obituary, and a memorial booklet adds more photos and tributes. Our designs combine all three, so use whichever words you like. See what goes in a funeral program and how to write an obituary.

What size is the booklet?

It folds to 5.5″ × 8.5″ and has four pages: front cover, two inside pages and a back cover. All four print on the front and back of one US letter sheet, which you fold in half.

Where can I print it?

At home: choose Export to print at home, then print on US letter, double-sided with your printer's usual flip on long edge, and fold in half (our printing tips walk through the settings). At a print shop or office store: bring the regular PDF (5.5″ × 8.5″ pages with bleed) and ask for a folded booklet on letter paper. Heavier paper or light cardstock gives a nicer feel.

How many copies can I print?

As many as you need. The PDF is yours to keep and print again.

How do I open my booklet after I order?

Go to markmylife.com/start and enter your Etsy order number (it's in your Etsy purchase email, after "Order #"). Your booklet opens right away: no account to create, and nothing to wait for. Lost your link? Enter the same number again for a fresh one, any time in its 30 days. Please keep the number and your link to yourself.

Can I try it before I buy?

Yes. Every design has a free trial: choose one in Our designs and tap Try it free. It opens the real editor with sample words and photos. Change any text, add your own photos and try the Writing Tool. There is nothing to sign up for. The free trial can't make a PDF, pages carry a "Free demo" mark, and it is deleted after 24 hours.

Do I need any special software?

No. Everything happens in your web browser, on a phone, tablet or computer. A computer gives you the most room to see each page.

Is there a credit line on the booklet?

Yes, a small one. New booklets carry a small "Made with markmylife.com" line on the back cover. You can remove it in one tap: in the editor, tap the line, then Delete (or use the three dots, then Delete from page). Undo brings it back.

Can I use old, faded family photos?

Yes. Add the photo, tap it, and choose Enhance photo. A faded print gets its color and contrast back, and any other photo gets balanced color, less grain and a little sharpening. It runs in your browser and your original is always kept. It does not repair tears, scratches or blur.

Can you help me write the obituary?

Yes. Beside the obituary, the Writing Tool can proofread what you've written, rework it in a warmer or more formal tone, or draft it from a few details you give it. Its suggestions are drafts: read them and change anything that doesn't sound like them.

Can I buy directly on this site?

No. All orders go through our Etsy shop, so checkout, receipts and order messages stay in one place you already trust.
